I hope you all had a safe and happy 4th of July (for our American friends) or a relaxing and fun Canada Day (for our Canadian friends). Here at
Charcoal SumiBalls we're still cranking away at some pretty cool things. One of them being is this: Did you know that Charcoal SumiBalls are great for aquariums? Didn't see that one coming didn't ya?! Let me explain.
As you already know Charcoal SumiBalls are great for gardening. But they are also ideal to use as a substrate in your aquarium. I've been using Charcoal SumiBalls for over 4 months in my fish bowl as a substrate (you know otherwise known as gravel). You can get substrate in all sorts of colors, textures, and varieties. Substrates are an easy, fast, and cool way of dressing up your aquarium. Unfortunately, most substrates do not keep your fish bowl clean. Charcoal SumiBalls keeps your water fresh, crystal clear, and algae free. I was looking at my bowl the other day and the water looked so good, I was ready to drink it all!
Charcoal SumiBalls are also great for larger aquariums with cichlids, goldfish, koi, bettas, barbs, angelfish, tetras, swordtails, and many other of your favorite freshwater fish. Charcoal SumiBalls come in a variety of colors so you can match it to your existing aquarium or incorporate it into a brand new design.
Check out the Charcoal - Aquarium page to learn more about how to use Charcoal SumiBalls in your fish bowl today.

Hot Tub Testimony for Charcoal SumiBalls
Fresh off the presses, I just got this testimonial from John and Susan, a couple from Ontario, Canada. Since they hate the idea of having to use a ton of chemicals to keep their hot tub water clean, they decided to try out Charcoal SumiBalls. Here's what they found:
We are extremely pleased with the Charcoal SumiBalls in our hot tub. Before we could reply to let you know how it was working for us, we had to honestly test this out and waited for a few weeks. Now that summer is here and the temperature has been on the rise we find that it is a surprise to lift the hot tub lid and the water is very clear and has no odour!!! Another thing we have found, we have a hot tub that uses very few chemicals (since using the [Charcoal] SumiBalls) and the dead sea salts.
Visit CharcoalSumiBalls.com for more information on how you can use Charcoal SumiBalls to keep your hot tub water clean and crystal clear, WITHOUT the use of chemicals.

What In Da World Are SumiBalls?
I'm glad you asked! Charcoal SumiBalls are an all natural, environmentally sustainable activated charcoal product that can be used in many ways. Today, I'm going to show you just one of the ways it can be used in your world.
Gardening
As you can see above, Charcoal SumiBalls are great for starting seeds, or better known as seed germination/propagation. Charcoal SumiBalls are great because they allow seedlings to grow a larger and stronger root structure. In a future post, I plan on showing you pictures of roots of seedlings grown in both dirt and Charcoal SumiBalls to compare the results.
Charcoal SumiBalls are ideal for holding water. In fact, each Charcoal SumiBall holds 70% of it's own volume in water, meaning that plants stay hydrated for longer, which cuts the amount of times you have to water your garden in half. Great for people who have brown thumbs like me who expect plants to be as resilient as styrofoam in a landfill. This is also convenient if you're out on vacation for a week or two and do not have nice enough neighbors (or rather neighbors you can trust to come into your house, period) to watch your plants.
The way you would use Charcoal SumiBalls in your gardening is simple. If you have a house plant, just throw some on top of the dirt in the pot and see what happens. If you are using it in your outdoor garden, do the same thing. If you want to start germinating some seeds this week, just place the Charcoal SumiBalls in a small container, place your seeds in it, and cover the seeds with more Charcoal SumiBalls (follow the directions on the seed package for planting depth). Then fill your container with enough water to barely cover the surface of the Charcoal SumiBalls and leave it in front of a sunny window for a week. Don't worry about your seeds drowning because the Charcoal SumiBalls will quickly absorb excess water. The results will amaze you!
We're always learning new things about Charcoal SumiBalls and would love to hear how it is positively affecting your gardening. Gardening enthusiasts like Guy from the UK are noticing that since incorporating Charcoal SumiBalls into their vegetable garden, they have seen a noticeable reduction in the amount of weeds popping up.
